The Loch Shin Holiday Homes comprise of 2 cottages that are situated just 4 miles away from the village of Lairg. They are set on the edge of Sutherland’s largest and finest Loch: Loch Shin. The Oak has 3 bedrooms and the property offers enough space to accommodate up to 5 people; all the accommodation is spread across one level. There is plenty of off-road parking, allowing you to use your car to explore the immediate area and the many attractions that lie beyond.

Its beginnings can be traced back to the Neolithic period, where evidence of a thriving community can still be seen on the slopes of Ord Hill. There is a popular path winding up the hill, passing burial cairns, hut circles, burnt mounds, ancient banks, field clearance heaps and other fascinating features from the past. The short trail is well worth the climb to enjoy the magnificent view of the stunning scenery. The region is served by a number of other fascinating attractions, such as the North West Highlands Geo Park and the world-famous Glenmorangie Distillery. For those interested in the culture and history of the region, there is an abundance of heritage sites to visit, such as the nearby Brora Heritage Centre.
