Dating back over 100 years, Mara Cottage in Hilton, one of three villages of the Easter Ross Seaboard offers inviting, welcoming accommodation. Mara Cottage has been renovated to a high standard, but retains many original features. The cottage has a cosy sitting room with an open fire and feature stone walls plus a wonderfully light and airy fitted kitchen with dining area. Mara Cottage sleeps six and has three bedrooms – one double with stunning views over the Morey Firth, one twin and one single with additional folding bed. The cottage also has a family bathroom and ground floor basin and WC and has a lawned garden with patio, barbecue and furniture along with roadside parking. This is an area with so much to see and do with a wide range of walks and attractions nearby that will doubtless appeal to all the family.

The three lovely villages of Hilton, Shandwick and Ballintore of the Easter Ross Seaboard blend into each other and together offer many attractions and amenities. The furthest north is Hilton which has an excellent replica of the Hilton Standing Stone as the original resides in the National Museum of Scotland. Balintore offers a shop, pub and restaurant. Shandwick is the most southern of the Easter Ross Seaboard and has a wonderful Shandwick stone which dates back to around 708 AD. The delightful Fearn Abbey, founded in 1238 is situated a couple of miles inland and is well worth a visit. Nearby there is something for everyone, from the Glenmorangie whisky distillery, golf courses, dolphin spotting to beautiful beaches, superb walks and fishing villages. This is a peaceful location to enjoy the attractions and villages within this part of Scotland.
