MacGregor Cottage is a terraced cottage in a small courtyard development, in a countryside setting 3 miles from Campbeltown on the Kintyre Peninsula. There is one double bedroom and a shower room, along with a kitchen/diner downstairs, and a first floor sitting room with views over open fields and hills. Outside, there is off road parking for one car, and shared use of the courtyard and field area. With beaches, mountains, biking, walking and golf all close by, MacGregor Cottage makes a superb Scottish base.

Full electric heating throughout. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, colour TV with DVD. First £20 of electric inc. in rent, remainder charged via meter reading. Bed linen inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Shared courtyards, shared use of field for games/picnics. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles.

The main town of the Kintyre Peninsula, Campbeltown is set in a deep bay, sheltered by Davaar Island - a place that can be reached by foot at low tide via a mile-long causeway. In its heyday, this town boasted a large fishing fleet, whilst in the stunning hillside surrounding the settlement, there were apparently thirty-four whisky distilleries. Today, the town only offers two malts – Glen Scotia and Springbank - which can be sampled as the town’s local fare. The Campbeltown Heritage Centre, housed in the Tartan Kirk, provides an interesting insight into the area’s past, whilst the country’s oldest working cinema - the 'Wee Picture House' – still shows films within its glorious art deco halls whilst only twelve miles away are the hills of County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
