Lairig Ghru is a self-catering cottage in Aviemore, Inverness-shire.

This house is a detached home that is part of a private housing estate built recently. The property is furnished in a cosy but modern style and decorated in neutral colours with laminate flooring through out. The house has 1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom, 1 twin bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, open plan kitchen/breakfast room with French doors, a generously sized living room and an extra living room with a sofa bed. Most of the rooms in the house have views over the Cairngorms National Park so you can even do a bit of nature watching from indoors.

Underfloor heating throughout. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD player, music centre etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Garage space for one car plus additional off road parking for two cars. Large enclosed lawned garden. One well behaved dog welcome by arrangement. Sorry no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Please note: 12th - 26th Feb 2011 and 8th - 29th Oct 2011 are charged at the D price band rate.

Aviemore is right in the middle of the Cairngorms National Park, which makes it very popular with people who have come to Scotland to explore it's rugged beauty and landscape. Aviemore is a great destination for families too because there are so many fun activities within easy reach. Activities include golf, fishing, bird watching, walking, cycling and horse riding. The Grampians are also nearby so if you want to do some walking Aviemore is a good place to stay. There's a wide selection of different pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels to visit in the area as well so you can sample the local gourmet food if you'd like to. Plus, the Lecht ski centre is easy to get to from Aviemore so if you get your thrills on the slopes you'll be spoilt for choice as to which run to take!
