Just 6 miles away lies the ancient port of Arbroath (home of the famous Arbroath Smokie) whilst the city of Dundee (11 miles) is the setting for Discovery in which Captain Scott sailed to the Antarctic and HM Unicorn the oldest British-built warship still afloat.
