Dolphin spotting trips from Avoch harbour and the 18th century village of Cromarty's award winning museum and antique shops are nearby whilst Aviemore and the Cairngorm National Park are further afield and ferries to the Isles depart from Ullapool (1 hour's drive).

Village shop and pub serving food are 1 mile and flower bedecked Beauly (2 miles) boasts good shops and restaurants.
