Ayrshire is a golfers' paradise with courses in Prestwick Troon (3 miles) and Turnberry (18 miles). Scotland's premier racecourse is close to the town centre. Beautiful Culzean Castle is 12 miles and Robert Burns' home is just 4 miles as is Ayr harbour for summer sea trips on the Waverley Steamer. Excellent bird watching and walking nearby. Shops pubs and restaurants are within a short walk and there are good rail and air links locally.
