Pinnacle

Pont 35 – Nithsdale; part of TeviotdaleTimothy Pont, c. 1583-1596map image courtesy of NLS

A tower named Pendickle is marked on Pont’s late 16th century map.

There is an old carved lintel reset above the door of Pinnacle House.

I have placed the site of the tower at Old Pinnacle pending further research.
