The Old Castle of Inverugie, possibly dating to the 13th century, stood on the north bank at the mouth of the River Ugie. Traces of the moat and foundations were apparently still visible in 1895, however nothing remains to be seen now.
Old Castle of Inverugie is in the parish of St Fergus and the county of Aberdeenshire.
