Moredun Hall

Moredun Hall was a 16th century castle, also known as Easter Moncreiff, belonging to the Moncreiff family who had held the lands since the 13th century.

In 1596 John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff was involved, along with George Auchinleck of Balmanno, James Wemyss of Bogie and Alexander Ruthven of Freeland, in managing the affairs of John Ruthven, 3rd Earl of Gowrie, while he spent time in Europe.

Nothing of the castle now remains.
