Kippendavie

A Mape of the countries about Stirling
John Adair, 1685map image courtesy of NLS

Ryland Lodge is a 19th century mansion which incorporates an earlier two storey L-plan house with an octagonal porch in the re-entrant angle.

A stone within the porch is carved with the date 1617, and it’s possible that this earlier building, known as Kippendavie, was a tower house although this requires more research.
