Glassingall (site of)

Old Glassingall is an 18th century former laird’s house, however the estate has a much older history and there may have been a castle

The Kynbuck family owned Glassingall from around 1100 until 1455 and it was later owned by the Chisholm and Sinclair families.

If there was an earlier building its exact location is unknown. For now I have placed the site of it at Old Glassingall itself as there’s a chance that it was replaced by, or incorporated into, this early Georgian building.
