Dunninald Castle

Dunninald Castle is thought to have been built around 1590, replacing the nearby Black Jack Castle.

It was itself subsequently replaced in 1824 when Dunninald House (now known as Dunninald Castle) was built nearby. A walled garden for the new house was built next to the ruins of the old castle.
