Cultybraggan

Lower Glen Almond; StrathearnTimothy Pont, c. 1583 – 1596map image courtesy of NLS

Cultybraggan is marked on Pont’s late 16th century map of Strathearn as a castle within an enclosure.

In the 16th century Agnes Riddoch of Cultobragan married Duncan Drummond of Pitkellony.

Cultybraggan may have been the main part of the lands of Tullichettle or it may have been an alternative name for those lands.

I have placed it at Cultybraggan farm pending further research.
