Craigiehall House is a later 17th century mansion which replaced the tower house of Craigie.

The lands of Craigie were owned by the Craigie family in the 12th century but in 1387 Margaret Craigie, daughter and heiress of John Craigie of Craigie and Braidwood, married Sir John Stewart, son of Sir Robert Stewart of Durisdeer, and Craigie passed to the Stewarts.
