Carolside

Carolside is a late 18th century Palladian mansion however it either incorporated or replaced an older tower.

A tower named Carl-syd is marked on Gordon’s mid-17th century map of “The Mers” while a tower named Carolsyde or Carollsyde appears on Blaeu’s slightly later mid-17th century maps.
