Cairnbulg Castle

Cairnbulg Castle, originally known as Philorth Castle, dates to the mid-13th century and was restored in the 19th century.

In 1464 Sir Alexander Fraser of Philorth received a charter of “the lands of Kinnell, Lovat, etc.” from his cousin, Hugh, Lord Fraser of Lovat.
