Tirai

This stone measures around 1.1m tall by 1.0m wide, with a thickness of approximately 0.4m, and stands within a deserted farmstead.

A second stone just to the south of this one may also have been a standing stone, although it has been used as part of a doorway.

Just to the north-east of the standing stone is a third stone which has been reused at the south-west corner of a building. It measures 1.5m long by 0.4m wide and 0.5m thick. It may also have once stood.

The suggestion here is that the standing stone may once have formed part of a different site, possibly some form of stone circle.

Where is Tirai?

Tirai is in the parish of Killin and the county of Perthshire.
