The historic map is an Ordnance Survey map from 1919 to 1947, and is provided by the National Library of Scotland

This circular, stone-built mound stands close to the edge of Huntly Wood, and is thought to be a Wessex-type bell-cairn. It measures approximately 30m in diameter, and is around 2m in height. There is a slight depression in the centre where cairn material has been robbed.

Around the mound is a ditch between 2 to 4m wide. The whole site is very overgrown and the ditch is difficult to make out.

The Statistical Account records the fact that stone coffins containing skeletons were found in the mound, and that a market was held on the top of it.
