Langbank West

Langbank West crannog consists of a low mound of stones which was once encircled by a ring of piles.

Visible at low tide, it is marked by a tall pole at high tide. An archaeological survey undertaken in 1997 revealed three small piles at the perimeter of the west side, all of which were of square section.

Two further crannogs – Langbank and Langbank East – are situated on the same section of shoreline.
