Kerrowmore

This fort – often described as a homestead – is typical of the type found all along Glen Lyon in that it features massive stone walls and is in a strategic position. In this case it sits on a bend in the River Lyon, guarding the route along the low ground below the mountains.

It is believed to have measured around 23.0m in diameter, with walls around 3.0m thick. Although a much-disturbed site, it’s scale is still clear.
