Jackschairs

This fort within Jackschairs Wood occupies relatively low-lying ground, but it is raised above the surrounding area, and at its centre is a substantial rocky outcrop.

The fort is defended to the west by a precipitous drop, and elsewhere with four ramparts and associated ditches. The entrance was on the east side.
