Fourmerkland

The remains of a pit-defined curcus were identified from aerial photographs within a Roman temporary camp. The visible section measures at least 55m from E to W, and was around 28m wide. A sharp change in the ground-level to the E suggests that the cursus was unlikely to have been over 200m in length.
