Drylawhill

Cropmarks here show up a cursus consisting of parallel ditches between 2 -3m wide, and separated by a distance of 60m, running for at least 300m approximately E to W. At the eastern end the cropmarks run to the field boundary and probably continued into the next field, although nothing is now visible in this field. N of the western part of the cursus is a further rectilinear enclosure of unknown purpose. This was the first cursus to be identified in SE Scotland.

Where is Drylawhill?

Drylawhill is in the parish of Prestonkirk and the county of East Lothian.
