Two large round cairns known as the Cat Stanes were destroyed as part of early 19th century road-building. During their destruction the cairns were found to enclose many cists containing skeletons, as well as bronze and iron weapons including two iron spearheads.

They were almost equidistant between two standing stones - the Camus Stone (now gone) and the Caiy Stone (still standing).

The site of the cairns is now occupied by housing.
