The historic map is an Ordnance Survey map from 1919 to 1947, and is provided by the National Library of Scotland

A cursus aligned ENE-WSW has been identified from aerial photography in a field 360m S of Blairhall farmhouse. The monument measures 190m in length by up to 24m in width, and is surrounded by a narrow ditch. At least at one point (about 75m from the ENE) there appears to be an internal division.

The E portion of this division is wider than the W portion, and is on a slightly different alignment, suggesting that the cursus was built in at least two separate stages. On the ENE, the cursus intersects two probable barrows. At the W end of the interior there are traces of a probable ring-ditch, and close to the monument are several more ring-ditches which may represent the remains of burial mounds.
